👋 Hi, I am Sumon Kanti Dey, a third-year PhD student in Computer Science and Informatics at Emory University, fortunate to be advised by Prof. Azra Ismail. My research focuses on trustworthy and human-centered AI for healthcare, with an emphasis on rigorously evaluating and safely deploying large language models in sensitive and high-consequence health contexts.

My work spans LLM Evaluation & Trustworthy Health AI [Eval4NLP'25], Human-Centered & Responsible Health AI , Multilingual & Multimodal Health AI [JMIR'26], Conversational & Agentic AI for Health, and Health NLP & Social Media [PSB'26].

Across these areas, I develop benchmarks, evaluation frameworks, multilingual and voice-based resources, and conversational AI systems for diverse healthcare settings, including sexual and reproductive health, intimate partner violence, mental health, substance use, and women's health. My broader goal is to create healthcare AI that can operate safely, meaningfully, and responsibly in real-world settings.

My earlier research explored Bengali NLP and online hate-speech detection [DSAA'21, SPELLL'22], which helped shape my broader interest in socially consequential and culturally aware language technologies.
